Nicotine salt liquids buying guide for Scotland (1.2 ohm mesh)
Nicotine salt liquids advice for Scotland, covering age rules, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
We spent weeks putting nicotine salt liquids options through their paces so the recommendations here reflect real use. Pricing in Scotland shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current GBP rates rather than a fixed list price.
Anyone who has compared nicotine salt liquids options in Scotland quickly learns that specification lists only tell part of the story. Worth noting that the 510-X takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below.
If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 55:45 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly. Pricing in Scotland shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current GBP rates rather than a fixed list price.
We would pair the Innokin Sceptre with a 55:45 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 0.2 Ω dual mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. Pricing in Scotland shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current GBP rates rather than a fixed list price.
Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all. The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help. Flavour tracking stays consistent from the first day to roughly the 0.2 Ω dual mesh mark before the profile flattens and a swap makes sense.
The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 0.2 Ω dual mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 55:45 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Stealth Grey finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Vanilla Custard: creamy, rich, described as warm vanilla bean with a smooth cream finish. On a 55:45 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 0.2 Ω dual mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Scotland
Availability in Scotland is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 0.2 Ω dual mesh and the Type-C fast charge are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510-X matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and GBP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Take the time to get it right the first time; the difference shows up over months of use rather than days.
